April 10, 2008 - We had to take Haylie to the hospital by 11 am to have another bilirubin test since her level was high. Then, at 1 pm we took Haylie for her first visit to the pediatrician (Zaman Pediatrics). She lost 7 ounces since she was born. They had her jaundice results from that morning and her bilirubin level had gone up from 11 to 13. Other than that she looked really good. They told us to take her home and sit her in her diaper in front of a window for 15 minutes 4 times a day (natural light therapy). They also told me not to give her any breast milk for 3-4 days so we had to give her formula. We had to go back on Friday morning and have her tested again (more pricks on the foot!).
